Defence from the first minute of detention: presence at questioning, challenging the notice of suspicion, work on the preventive measure, access to the case file, trial, appeal and cassation. Separately — cases where the client is held in custody.
Defence of judges in disciplinary proceedings: written explanations in response to a disciplinary complaint, representation before the Disciplinary Chambers of the High Council of Justice and appeals against their decisions to the Council itself, and against Council decisions to the Supreme Court. Also cases on temporary suspension of a judge from administering justice, submissions for dismissal, applications for consent to detain a judge or hold them in custody, and questions of integrity and qualification assessment.
Assessment of the prospects of an application and preparation of the form setting out violations of the Convention — most often Articles 3, 5, 6 and 8, and Article 1 of Protocol No. 1. An application is lodged within four months of the final domestic decision becoming binding, and only after available remedies have been exhausted. Then follows communication with the Government, a claim for just satisfaction, and — where the Court has given judgment — reopening of the case in Ukraine on exceptional grounds.
Proceedings under Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, work with vehicle-examination findings and the scene diagram, challenging the assessment of evidence, civil claims for damages, and disputes with insurers and the Motor (Transport) Insurance Bureau of Ukraine.
Challenging decisions of military medical commissions, representation in cases concerning breaches of military registration rules, defence in proceedings on unauthorised absence from a unit, deferrals, reinstatement on the register, and disputes with Territorial Centres of Recruitment and Social Support.
Dissolution of marriage, division of matrimonial property, recovery and variation of child maintenance, determining a child's place of residence and contact arrangements, deprivation of parental rights, formalising and contesting inheritance, and declaring a will invalid.
Disputes arising from contracts, recovery of debt and penalties, cases concerning real estate and land, recognition of title, consumer protection, support in enforcement proceedings, and commercial disputes between businesses.
Challenging decisions, actions and omissions of state and local authorities before the administrative courts, lawyer's formal requests, access to public information, and disputes over recruitment competitions and personnel decisions.
