Partners is a law firm based in Poltava, founded in 2019. Its focus is criminal defence and cases where a person's liberty or future is at stake.
We work with people meeting the system for the first time in their lives: those who have been detained, their families, drivers after a crash, and men of call-up age facing claims from a recruitment centre. Most of them have never had anything to do with criminal procedure and have no idea what is happening or what they are allowed to do.
So the first thing we give is clarity. We explain in plain language where you stand, what scenarios exist and which of them is realistic. No promises to "sort things out", and no forecasts that nobody can honestly give.
The firm appears before the courts of the Poltava region and elsewhere in Ukraine, and works with appellate and cassation instances. A separate strand is the conduct of high-profile cases that attract media attention.
